Thanks Jeff, I have seen the deer do this before around this time of day especially after we have just had a snow storm.

Great job, Debra. Dark animals in snow are not easy to photograph, so well done.

Thanks very much Jane for your comments. It looks like winter is here to stay now so I will get a bit more practice at it.

Another great compo of yours Debra. I consider not so easy to shoot that kind of scenery. You really succeed by putting a strong eye contact with the doe. She is the interest, she is the star and she is beautyful. Personnaly I would say she is more likely thinking -dam it, another winter comming in- :)

You are probably right there Yves. Even us humans are hoping for a milder winter than last year. The deer have been hoofing the snow to get through to the grass. She looked so content here I couldn’t resist taking a picture. Thanks very much for your comments.

Very nice composition and detail on this beautiful doe,. She stands out really well here in the snow among the camouflage of trees and grasses. It's a real treat to be able to view these deer through your lens. Beautiful capture Debra.

As always Heather your comments are appreciated. I really enjoy this time of year in the park. The deer all seem to disappear deeper into the bush after the rut is over. Maybe this helps them to get through the winter.

Thanks Clifford, she was quite content to the extent that she was eating while she was curled up.
